Grégory RIOU

I graduated from Chimie ParisTech and hold a Ph.D. in physics, with expertise in chemistry, applied physics, and microfabrication technologies.After several years in R&D in Canada and in the microelectronics industry in France, I began specializing in intellectual property in 2011, working both in industry and at a law firm.

I joined IPTRUST in 2021, where I focus on patent drafting, prosecution, and, notably, European Patent Office (EPO) and French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) oppositions, as well as patent litigation, including infringement cases.

I am fluent in French and English and support clients with a blend of technical rigor, strategic vision, and operational experience gained in industry, specialized firms, and litigation.

I am also a member of the Patent Commission at the French Institute of Industrial Property Attorneys (CNCPI), and I teach the introductory course on intellectual property for the PSL University Science and Engineering for Health Master’s program.
